No Off Season Training Facility
Sports Zone Baseball Academy will now practice at the No Off Season facility in Mars, PA             

Sports Zone Express finishes 3rd in Richmond, Va
The Sports Zone Express competed in the Triple Crown 16U Nationals in Richmond, VA against 32 other National teams.  The Express finished pool play
3-0 defeating BC Saints (NJ), Connecticut Owls and Virginia Knights.  The play-offs began with a 7-4 win verse the Dallas Dodgers (TX) and a 3-1 win
verse BWP Bats (PA).  The Express finished the 2011 Season with a 2-4 loss to Bearcats Baseball (PA).

Austin Eppstein chooses University of Mount Union
Our first Ohio player chose to continue his career at the University of Mount Union.
Austin came to the Sports Zone program in late May and was a great addition.
We wish Austin good luck in the next stage of his baseball career

Sports Zone Baseball stands out at Triple Crown Nationals Showcase
The Sports Zone Express players had a chance to show their stuff at the Triple Crown
Showcase and All-Star Game in Richmond, VA.  Austin Ross was selected to pitch in the Triple
Crown All-Star game and pitched a perfect inning throwing 86 mph 4 times and drawing
interest from schools such as the University of Temple.  Zach Chinchilla, Jake Pilewicz, James
Meeker, Riley Schwertz all proved why they are one of the best pitching rotations in the
state of Pennsylvania.  Bryton Peternel represented the Sports Zone Baseball Academy in
the homerun derby.

Sportts Zone Lookouts put together a strong showing at Triple Crown 15U Nationals in Myrtle Beach, SC
The Sports Zone Lookouts competed against 26 teams from all over the country.  The Lookouts finished pool play 3-0 defeating the Knoxville Fury (TN),
Richmond Braves National (VA) and Iowa Cobras which earned them the #1 seed.  The Lookouts lost their first playoff game to the RBI Redwings which
dropped them into the losers bracket.  The Lookouts won two more games against the Brownlee Lookouts (OH) and  Loudon South Eagles (VA) before
losing their last game of the 2011 season to the East Cobb Rawlings (GA).

Sports Zone Lookouts voted in the WPEBL
The WPEBL had their annual vote to determine which teams will participate in the 2012 Season.  The Sports Zone Lookouts were chosen to join the league.  
The Sports Zone Baseball Academy has two teams in the most prestigous league in Western Pennsylvania.
